Shoot the service, not the brochure
Why pictures fail when they tour the building, and how a shoot during a real service stays out of the guests' way.
A film that visits every outlet is a floor plan with a soundtrack. Guests remember the light in the room, or the counter they can already hear.
Pick the hour
Cafés have an opening. Villas have the terrace before guests. Gyms have the floor. Resorts share that walkthrough. Choose the hour and protect it.
Stay small
Three people can work through a service. Eight people turn it into a set. Lights come in a bag, not a truck, unless the room is a ballroom and the picture needs it. Tell the manager where the stands will be. Move when a guest needs the path.
- Agree the empty minutes and the live minutes before the day.
- Releases for faces, or frames without faces.
- One grade for the film and the stills, so the feed matches the site.
