On location
Cameras and lights on site, while the place is still itself.
More
We light what is already there: a window, a pendant, the floor, the pool. The crew is small enough to work through a service without turning the room into a set.
You get a plan before the day: what we will shoot, when we need the room empty, and what we will leave alone.
What the job includes
- 01A scout or a detailed photo brief if we cannot walk it first
- 02Cameras, lenses, and a light kit sized to the room
- 03Sound when a film needs the room, not only the picture
- 04Stills pulled from the same day as the moving image
- 05A shot list the manager can read in five minutes
Questions before a bid
- Can you shoot during service?
- Yes, when the picture is the service. We agree the hours with the manager so guests are not walking into a light stand.
- Do you bring the lights?
- Yes. Practicals in the room stay on. Our lights fill what the practicals cannot, and they come back out with us.
- How many people show up?
- Usually a director, a camera, and a light. Sound joins when the film needs voices or the room tone. A bigger crew is a decision, not a default.
- What if the villa has no staff on site?
- We still need access, power, and someone who can say yes to moving a chair. That person can be you.
If this is the job, send the runtime and the date. We will answer with a way to make it.
